Partially based on the Mobile Suit Gundam F91 Crossbone Vanguard novel, the manga acts as a prequel to the events of Mobile Suit Gundam F91, depicting the Crossbone Vanguard and the residents of Frontier IV prior to the Cosmo Babylonia War during Universal Century (UC) 0123.

While he was running away the sea surface suddenly rose, and when a brilliant light appeared he saw a strange looking battleship flying in the air.
